Steiff Antique Macki Hedgehog 4 1/2 inch Doll w/ official Steiff Button & Tag
Steiff is a German-based plush toy company. It was founded in 1880 by Margarete Steiff, a seamstress. The toys began as elephants, and bears but has since expanded to many other animals including hedgehogs like Macki . Made in the 1980's Macki is part of the Hecke family, a family of adorable hedgehog people in simple country outfits with thick spiky mohair! Macki stands 4.5 inches tall and wears a red gingham shirt with a brown felt vest and blue felt shorts. He has an original attached metal Steiff button and yellow cloth flag tag which reads, Steiff, Knopf Im Ohr, and the style number 76/2112 ~Limited Edition, less than 2500 made!!
This is a fantastic Macki German Steiff hedgehog toy doll is hard to find in such great condition with all of the identification pieces and original metal Steiff button!
